The UN Building

Well, there it is: the United Nations Building. We were able to go to it yesterday to go on a prayer journey around it. It took forever to get there though. I don't think there are any trains close by. I recognized the building pretty quick, perhaps because it seems to be on the Simpsons so often. Anyway, were walked through and prayed for different nations. I hope that as we do this with teams that come in, they will be reminded of the global impact that the Forefront can have, especially in New York.
Across the street from the building was a stairway with an inscription in it from Isaiah 2:4. The whole verse is: "He [God] will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore."
Pretty powerful to have across from the building. In the end, I know that true peace will only come from the gospel of peace, but the UN can still be used by God to bring war, poverty, and violence to an end in many places. I pray that God will use the UN, corrupt as it can be, to bring peace, and open the way for the gospel in places all over the world.
